About Me

     

    Hobbies of mine include drawing/painting, reading (current favorite author is Danielle Rollins), and attempting to learn more about photography and photo-shop. I've grown up in a family of artists and hope to continue that little legacy by pursuing a creative career. I have a few interests such as: Quentin Tarantino and Studio Ghibli movies, monkeys, and hibachi food. Most of the time, I can be found listening to artists like Smino, Juice WRLD, Don Toliver, etc.

    My dream I hope to one day make reality is to live in Brooklyn, New York while working as an Interior designer and continuing my artistic hobbies on the side. New York has always been one of my favorite destinations to visit due to my love for the city life and subways; nothing cooler than an underground train in my opinion. 



This is a photo-shop project I did from my old photography class; I photo-shopped a picture of my face onto an historical icon (Marilyn Monroe).

Self Assess

           I feel that my blog meets the rubric criteria, for the most part, but it could still use some work. I need to get better about including quotes and quote citations along with adding media, such as, links to videos relating to the topic. One thing I always make sure to stay on top of is reviewing and revising my posts for any errors with grammar or punctuation; being a perfectionist is one of my worst habits. I try to keep my posts as readable as possible because I know that how I speak in general can sometimes translate into how I type, which doesn't always make as much sense to others when reading it.      Every so often, I stress about if I'm staying on topic when it comes to writing my posts. I know that I tend to get ahead of myself sometimes and stray off topic easily. Another one of my worst habits I've been trying to fix is my procrastination. Differences in Graduation Rates

  The official four-year graduation rate for students attending public colleges and universities is 33.3%. The six-year rate is 57.6%. At private colleges and universities, the four-year graduation rate is 52.8%, and 65.4% earn a degree in six years.      Those given graduation rates are not as accurate as they want you to believe. They're highly misleading due to the calculations being based off of full time students that graduate from a specific college, rather than including part-time students and transfer students as well. What about the students that didn't get the chance to graduate at all?  In my opinion, many of those who left college early were students who just weren't ready for college or decided college just wasn't for them. I believe their reasons for leaving have to do with either money issues, just being burnt out on education, or not having any direction.
